The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced openings for two Specialist Cadre Officer positions on a contractual basis, according to the SBI official website.

Available Positions and Qualifications
General Manager (GM) & Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO):
Vacancies: 1 (Unreserved)
Educational Requirements: BE/B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
Experience: Over 20 years in IT/Information Security, with 10-13 years focused on infrastructure security.
Preferred Certifications: CCSP, CCNP, CCIE, CISM, PMP, or equivalent.
Age Limit: 45-50 years
Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Incident Response:
Vacancies: 1 (Unreserved)
Educational Requirements: BE/B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
Experience: At least 15 years in IT/Information Security, with 8-10 years in incident response or related areas.
Preferred Certifications: OSCP, CEH, ECIH, GCIH, CISSP, or equivalent.
Age Limit: 38-50 years
Job Responsibilities
GM & Deputy CISO:
Oversee infrastructure security and lead related projects.
Ensure data security and compliance, aligning with the Security Operations Center (SOC).
Implement security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
Collaborate with various teams to mitigate security threats.
DGM (Incident Response):
Manage incident response and threat hunting operations.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and forensic analyses.
Develop and implement cyber crisis management plans.
Work with external experts for advanced forensic investigations.
Compensation
GM & Deputy CISO: Annual CTC of ₹1.00 crore.
DGM (Incident Response): Annual CTC of ₹80.00 lakhs.
The compensation structure includes 90% fixed pay and 10% variable pay, with annual increments ranging from 7-10% based on performance.
Application Process
Interested candidates should apply online through the SBI Careers portal. The application process involves registration, completion of the online form, uploading necessary documents (photograph, signature, resume, certificates), and payment of the application fee. The fee is ₹750 for General/EWS/OBC candidates, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted.
Selection Procedure
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience. Shortlisted individuals will be invited for an interview, which carries a total of 100 marks. The qualifying marks for the interview will be determined by the bank. A merit list will be prepared based on interview scores. During the selection process, compensation negotiations will occur in order of merit.
Additional Information
Contract Duration: 5 years, with the possibility of termination given a 90-day notice.
Location: Primarily Mumbai/Navi Mumbai, though postings may vary based on the bank’s requirements.
Teaching or training experience will not be considered towards eligibility.
